11 Days...Finding Time

"I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2)

When you think about God...what words come to your mind?

Awesome...Mighty...All-knowing...Fierce...Just....

What words does your heart use to describe God?

Loving...Grace...Peace...Hope....

God embodies all of those descriptions and many more. Take a moment and think about what God accomplishes in one day.

He keeps the earth and all of the planets rotating at the correct speed and in the correct order. He keeps the earth turning in such a way that the sunrises at the exact right moment in the exact right spot. He keeps the air a balance of oxygen so that we can breath. He keeps the tides ebbing and flowing. He rejoices as 490,000 babies are born each day. And He weeps in sorrow at the deaths of 70,000 people each day. He does all of this and so much more and yet...

He has time for you and for me.

He takes the time to listen to your prayers, to be present in your life and to communicate directly with you.

He takes the time to communicate with you in so many different ways - from a breeze on your cheek, to a message on TV you feel is just for you, to the still soft whisper of His voice giving you direction.

God, in all of His Awesome, Amazing, Powerful and Mighty Works, has time - He takes time - to spend with you.

Think about all God gets done in a single day, and yet, He still makes time for you and for me...

Why do we find it so hard to find time for Him?

Fun Fact...
Totally random but...
Tablecloths were originally meant to be served as towels with which dinner guests could wipe their hands and faces after eating!
 (My grandmother would have flipped!)

Question of the Day
What word (s) do you use to describe God?
