Did you know that you are royalty?
You are a prince or a princess, chosen to be part of a royal priesthood. You were set apart to share God's love with the world around you so that God might be glorified and that those around you might know the light of God.
Does this seem like a hefty order? Is it a little overwhelming to think that God called you to be in His royal family?
As a part of the royal family of God you have been equipped with certain characteristics. The display of those characteristics - charity, love, mercy, justice, kindness, self-control, joy - is how the world will see the light of God in you. Being part of God's family, being a "royal priest", is about letting your light shine for God so that the world might feel the warmth.
What a joy it is to share the light of God so that others might be pulled from the darkness in which they walk each day. Imagine how the light shining in you could impact someone who has only experienced darkness in their life...or how your display of the royal characteristics might transform someone's heart who has only felt hatred and pain.
The idea that you are a prince or a princess for God might seem overwhelming, but know that God is not sending you into this world without the tools you need. He chose you. Trust Him and you will discover that He has fully equipped you for the encounters ahead.
